Nolan Blodgett, MSW, RSW

As a trans and queer identified person who was raised in rural Ontario, I am eager to leverage my lived experience and professional training to provide a safe and inclusive therapeutic space for individuals to explore their experiences of internalized shame and oppression.

I have completed a Master of Social Work, specializing in Mental Health, at the University of Toronto in 2019 and am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (License #833175) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Prior to this, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Trent University (2017).

I have experience working with youth and adults with an emphasis on trans and gender diverse folks and the LGBTQ2S community. I have supported clients with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety and depression, body image, eating disorders, gender/sexuality-related issues, personality disorders, intergenerational trauma, complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and substance use. My approach is grounded in a trauma-informed, intersectional anti-oppressive framework and I aim to foster resilience and empowerment using a warm, collaborative approach to support folks in meeting their goals.
